From 1 February 2026, The Royal Parks will be expanding its in-house delivery of sports and leisure services. The sports centres at Hyde Park, The Regent’s Park and Greenwich Park currently offering tennis, padel and other activities along with pitch hire will be brought under the direct management of The Royal Parks. These facilities will join the existing in-house boating and swimming services, forming part of newly integrated offer under The Royal Parks Sports and Leisure.
Prior to 1 February 2026, the sports centres will continue to be managed by Park Sports. For booking information and general enquiries prior to 1 February 2026, please visit the Park Sports website.
The Hub in The Regent’s Park, which is managed in-house by The Royal Parks, remains available for bookings as usual. For booking information and general enquiries, please visit The Royal Parks website.
No, The Royal Parks facilities and services are open to everyone, and we welcome everyone wishing to participate in sports, whatever your experience or ability.
There will be no disruption to customer use of outdoor sports facilities.
From 1 February 2026, a programme of works will commence at the pavilion buildings in Hyde Park and The Regent's Park. As a result, these buildings will be closed to the public until April 2026. Public access to the outdoor sports facilities will remain throughout this period.
Temporary reception areas, toilets and changing facilities will be provided during the works. For your convenience, we recommend you arrive ready to play, where possible, while our facilities are temporarily reduced.
While improvements are made to the cafés, a temporary catering offer will be provided, featuring external seating and tables only. Please note whilst works are underway there may be temporary path closures and diversions and visitors will be advised to follow local signage.
Yes, an accessible toilet will be available at Hyde Park and The Regent’s Park during the programme of works.
During 2026, a short programme of works will be carried out to repair the shelter near the tennis courts. These works are not expected to impact public access to the courts. Toilet and café facilities are located nearby for visitor convenience.
The sports centres at Hyde Park and The Regent’s Park will operate daily from 07:00 to 21:00. Opening hours for the Greenwich Park tennis courts is daily from 07:00 to 19:00 (or until Dusk in the winter months).
Please note that during the programme of works taking place from 1 February to April 2026, opening hours may be subject to change.
Details of the temporary café facilities, as well as the opening hours of the permanent cafés at Hyde Park and The Regent’s Park, will be confirmed in due course.

A 7-day pre-booking period will be in place meaning our booking system for courts and pitches will launch by 25 January 2026. To be among the first to know when bookings open, please sign up to our newsletter.

Yes, coaching sessions for both juniors and adults will continue to be offered across Hyde Park, The Regent’s Park, and Greenwich Park. This includes holiday camps and group sessions. Further details will be available once our booking site launches in January 2026.
While the pavilion buildings at Hyde Park and The Regent’s Park are being refurbished, equipment hire will be limited. From 1 February 2026, please check availability at each location. We expect a full service to return in April 2026.
