Bowls green at The Courts at Hyde Park

Hyde Park

Whether it’s a game of padel, a tennis match or a post-work boating session, Hyde Park’s the place.

From 1 February 2026, improvement works will begin at the pavilion buildings in Hyde Park and The Regent’s Park. During this period, the pavilion buildings will be closed to the public until April 2026. Outdoor sports facilities will remain open and accessible throughout.

Temporary reception points, toilets and changing facilities will be available while the works take place. However, as our facilities will be reduced, we encourage visitors to arrive ready to play wherever possible.

While the cafés are being upgraded, a temporary catering service will operate, offering outdoor seating and tables only. Please note that temporary café opening hours may vary during the works, so we recommend checking on‑site for the most up‑to‑date information. A reduced temporary sports retail offer will also be available at each location, and stock will be limited during this time.

Please be aware that there may be temporary path closures and diversions, and visitors are advised to follow local signage.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.

Choose Hyde Park for your corporate event

Make your event extra special by choosing Hyde Park as the venue for your upcoming team away day, school trip or family gathering. With the accessibility of Central London, and the backdrop of a historic landscape, you can hire both indoor and outdoor spaces for your private event.

  • Why your booking makes all the difference

Every time you book a court or pitch in Hyde Park, you’re also supporting The Royal Parks. As a charity, your booking fee helps us keep the parks beautiful, bountiful and free for everyone to enjoy. We take care of the Royal Parks so they can take care of you.

  • Being considerate and kind

We know that sport can be incredibly exciting, and often as thrilling to watch as it is to play. But we ask that you treat every player, spectator and member of staff both on and off the court or pitch, with the same respect and consideration that you’d want yourself.
