Playing pitch sports in the Royal Parks
Playing a pitch sport in a Royal Park offers the best of both worlds: a wide range of well-maintained pitches, in unbeatable outdoor settings. Whether you’re into football, cricket or rugby, or enjoy the sociability of summer sports such as softball and rounders, you’ll find a pitch to match, and a friendly, inclusive atmosphere.
Football
You can play football in Hyde Park or The Regent’s Park. Hyde Park offers unmarked multi-sport grass pitches year-round, ideal for 5-a-side and 11-a-side games. The Hub in The Regent’s Park features full-size marked grass pitches and a hybrid pitch, available during the winter season from September to March.

Cricket
From May to August, enjoy a game of cricket on our full-size cricket pitch in a historic green space. The Greenwich Park cricket pitch has outstanding views of London, spectators are welcome, and you’ll also have access to the cricket pavilion with changing facilities and small kitchen for refreshments. Cricket is also available at The Hub in The Regent's Park.

Rugby
Experience rugby at The Hub in The Regent’s Park. Enjoy touch rugby in summer, or play on full‑size, fully marked grass pitches during the winter season from September to March. The Hub offers excellent facilities, including changing rooms and showers, making it ideal for both casual games and club fixtures.
Hyde Park offers unmarked multi-sport grass pitches year-round for rugby and touch rugby, with The Courts Café just a short walk away.

Softball
The Hub in The Regent’s Park is a well-known softball venue in London, used by social leagues and teams, as well as for casual games with groups of friends. The Regent’s Park has a range of full-size, grass softball pitches maintained to a high standard, in an exceptional natural setting.
Hyde Park offers unmarked multi-sport grass pitches year-round, suitable for softball, with The Courts Cafe just a short walk away.

When the sun’s out, a game of rounders is a great choice for company sports days, club outings or simply for families looking to have fun in the fresh air. Book one of our full-size rounders pitches at The Hub in The Regent’s Park.
