Our friendly tennis coaches make it easy and enjoyable for kids of all abilities to pick up the basics and improve at their own pace. All our LTA-qualified coaches encourage good sportsmanship, court etiquette and respect for others, right from the outset.
Junior Tennis Courses run in school term time - we also have Junior Holiday Camps available during the school holidays including half terms.

Junior Tennis Courses
In Hyde Park, children as young as four can discover the fun of tennis while making friends. Our junior courses, led by LTA-qualified coaches, follow the five LTA Youth stages – Blue, Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow – and use age‑appropriate play to build skills, from strokes and serving to match play, right up to age 16.

Hyde Park hosts Mini and Junior Tennis Camps during half terms, Easter and summer holidays. Mixed‑ability sessions keep children active and engaged in a safe, inclusive environment. Camps run for ages four to seven, and seven to 16.

Junior Tennis Course Stages

LTA Youth - Blue Stage
Four to six year olds
A gentle, play‑based introduction for younger children, focusing on balance, agility and coordination. Kids get a fun first taste of tennis, learning simple movements while enjoying themselves in a supportive environment.

LTA Youth - Red Stage
Six to eight year olds
Children begin rallying with simple techniques and learn the basics of the game. Competitive play is introduced in a relaxed, supportive way, encouraging fairness, confidence and enjoyment rather than focusing on winning or losing.

LTA Youth - Orange Stage
Eight to nine year olds
At the Orange stage, juniors play real matches, serving and returning with confidence. They build tactical awareness and learn why good sportsmanship matters, developing skills that balance competitive play with respect for others.

Nine to 10 year olds
Players start refining their technique. Sessions build consistency, confidence and tactical awareness, helping juniors adapt and prepare for more advanced match play.
